Mostplay High RTP Slots: Reading the Return Figure
Quick Summary
- RTP, or return to player, is a long-run theoretical average, not a promise for one session.
- Every slot's RTP is shown in its info or paytable screen.
- Volatility describes how wins are spread, and matters as much as RTP.
- We quote no RTP figures; the game screen is the reliable source.
- 18+ only
- Official partner site
- Checked 7 Nov 2026

A batter's career average tells you a lot, but it will not tell you what happens in tonight's innings. RTP works the same way. It is one of the most searched slot terms, and also one of the most misunderstood. This guide explains what return to player means, why a high figure does not make a single session safe, how to find it in any game on Mostplay, and why volatility deserves equal attention.
What RTP means
The short answer: the share of all money staked that a game is designed to pay back over a very large number of spins. If a slot has a theoretical return a little below one hundred per cent, the difference is the house edge. Over millions of spins, the maths settles close to that figure.
Over one evening, though, anything can happen. You might finish well up or well down. RTP describes the game, not your night.
RTP versus volatility
Two games with similar RTP can feel completely different.
| Lower volatility | Higher volatility | |
|---|---|---|
| Win frequency | More frequent | Less frequent |
| Typical win size | Smaller | Larger when it comes |
| Balance swings | Gentler | Sharper |
| Suits | Longer sessions on a small budget | Players prepared for quiet spells |
Finding RTP on Mostplay
Open any slot and look for the info, help or paytable button, often an i or a menu icon. Many games list the theoretical return there, along with a volatility rating if the studio provides one. Some games have more than one version or bet mode with different figures, so read the screen for the game you are actually playing.
JILI, the studio we can confirm on Mostplay, shows game rules inside each title. Our pages on Super Ace and Fortune Gems explain where those screens are.
Using RTP sensibly
Higher RTP means a smaller built-in edge, which is better for you over time. It does not mean a game is "due" to pay or that it will pay tonight. Use RTP to compare games, then choose by volatility and stake to fit your budget.
Bonus terms sometimes exclude high-RTP games or count them less towards wagering; see game contribution. For jackpot games, where part of each stake funds the prize, read our jackpot slots guide. The slots hub has more on picking a game.
