A deposit bonus sounds simple: put in some money, get some extra. The headline is the easy part; the maths behind it is where the real value lives, much like a run chase where the required rate matters more than the target. We could not confirm a current Mostplay deposit bonus, so this guide explains how percentage match offers work, walks through a worked example, and shows you what to check on the Mostplay promotions page.
How a percentage match works
The short answer: the bonus is a percentage of your deposit, up to a maximum. A 50% match on a qualifying deposit adds half the deposit as bonus funds. A cap limits how much bonus you can receive, however large the deposit. The bonus usually needs to be wagered a set number of times before it, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn.
Some offers count wagering on the bonus only, others on the bonus plus your deposit. That single detail can double the amount you need to bet.
A worked example
These figures are invented to show the maths; they are not a Mostplay offer.
| Item | Bonus-only wagering | Deposit + bonus wagering |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | ৳1,000 | ৳1,000 |
| Match at 50% | ৳500 bonus | ৳500 bonus |
| Wagering multiple | 20x | 20x |
| Amount to wager | ৳10,000 | ৳30,000 |
| Starting balance | ৳1,500 | ৳1,500 |
What changes the value
Beyond the percentage and wagering, these terms decide whether an offer suits you.
- Game contribution: if slots count fully and live tables count less, the effective wagering depends on what you play
- Maximum bet while the bonus is active, often a small fixed amount
- Expiry: wagering must be met within a time limit
- Withdrawal restrictions while the bonus is running
- Whether you must opt in before depositing
Deciding whether to take it
Ask yourself whether you would bet the required amount anyway, at your normal stakes, within the time limit. If not, the bonus will probably expire or tempt you into overspending. Taking no bonus keeps your deposit free to withdraw.
